Archives for category: serum

here’s what I am playing with this month…

Alastin Skincare’s HA Immerse Serum. It’s lightweight, absorbs quick, great for layering, and sits well under makeup. It’s won some awards, and Alastin is a skincare company you can trust.

Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss. Everytime I think I found my favorite gloss, I fall in love with another. This is definitly a top 3. I have it in Pink 001, and it is perfect. The right amount of shine, no stickyness, and great hold.

I pair the above gloss with the perfect Nude Liner I found from ColourPop. It’s their Lippie Pencil in BFF. It goes on smooth and easy, and pairs with any nude lip or pink gloss.

Stay tuned for what March brings…

I am in love with Kosas’s Plump and Juicy Spray on Serum. It is a genius idea for the category. The spray pump allows the product to gently get onto your skin in minimal or maximum amounts. My favorite thing about it is how it is perfect for layering serums. I have tried it as a first layer and second layer with serums and it combines beautifully. You should wait at least two minutes between layers to allow each product to absorb. There was no pilling under my makeup. It can also be layered throughout the day as a pick me up and hydrator. It even works over makeup. There is no scent and it is vegan. Kosas is clean beauty you can be excited about. The bottle is glass, it’s very barbiecore and looks great on my shelf.

banana! I have yet to try a Kadalys product I haven’t liked. Kadaly’s Organic Pink Oil Banana Glow Booster Serum is another great product in the line. It is called a serum and an Oil. To me it is an Oil and should be used as an Oil. Though it says you can layer moisturizer on top of it, I’m not sure the actives like Retinols would seep through? You need very little of this product for majorly hydrated skin. I live in humid Miami and was able to layer makeup on top of it. I’m excited to bring this up north on vacation to fight the dry winter weather. It is designed to fight aging, free radicles, and uneven skin tone. I enjoy the scent, and love the color. I love that it is clinically tested as well as vegan, organic, paraben free and cruelty free. Remember two drops does the job. It’s easy to go to heavy with this.

n skincare. I am confident in recommending Versed Moisture Maker Hydrating Hyalronic Serum to anyone looking to pick up a good HA. It contains Snow Mushroom and polygutamic acid. Polygutamic acid is said to hold 4 times its weight in water, and it’s bringing all that to your skin. This HA Serum has a gel like texture. A little goes a long way. The recommended amount is two drops from the dropper. You will press it into the skin, not rub in like a cream. Allow some time, around 2 minutes for it to absorb, and then follow with moisturizer. The Versed Vitamin C moisturizer goes perfectly with it. It is not sticky and does not negatively effect makeup. The price point is great for the quality it delivers. It is a 1oz bottle that seems like it would last a minimum of six months.

U Beauty skincare. I have been using their Resurfacing Compound. This product and brand have a cult following and I can see why. This serum is designed brighten, tighten, even out, and resurface skin. It is a clean beauty product and leaping bunny certified. The key to how this product works is the “Siren Capsules”. The Siren Capsules “deliver age-reversing ingredients to the most vulnerable areas of the skin while avoiding the exposure of harsh actives to areas that don’t need treatment. The result? Healthy skin maintains its integrity and realizes visible improvement, while dryness and irritation are avoided. By stopping free radicals in their tracks, SIREN Capsules prevent visible signs of damage and aging.”

has never disappointed me. Tatcha continues to have some of the best products out there and the prettiest packaging. Lately I’ve been using their The Deep Cleanse Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser and the best selling Violet-C Brightening Serum. The cleanser gently removes all makeup and dirt while minimizing excess oil and uncloging my pores. It is gel like and turns to a creamy foam. The Violet-C is 20% Vitamin C with 10% AHA’s. This is designed to brighten and strengthen skin for a more radiant look. The directions say to use it at night but I used it in the daytime after the Tatcha Essence and followed with moisturizer and sunblock. Check out Tatcha, they won’t let you down.

in this month’s skincare and makeup finds. This month I’ve switched things up with some fabulous finds. I have been using Ren’s Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic. It has a delicious cucumber smell. It uses Lactic Acid and Salicin(BHA) to exfoliate, brighten, tighten and hydrate. It’s gentle enough to use every day.

In the morning I follow that with Lancome’s amazing Renergie HCF Triple Serum. It’s and anti aging serum with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C, Niacinamide, and Ferulic Acid. This serum feels luxurious. It’s designed to improve volume loss, reduce wrinkles, and brighten dark spots. It has a unique triple chamber packaging to combine ingredients in the perfect balance.

My makeup find is Kosas’s Air Brow lifting treatment gel. I use this in the daytime for a natural yet enhanced look. It adds volume with a soft flexible hold. Kosas is a clean beauty brand, and this gel is boosted with hair care actives to help brows grow and thicken. It has biodegradable plant based microfibers for fullness and volume. Panthenol Provitamin B5, Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1, Trehalose, and Hyaluronic Acid for Brow health. It’s the perfect not too dry not too wet brow product.

Lastly the Sahara Souffle deeply hydrates skin with the power of Camel Milk. It helps with discoloration and leaves skin smooth and even. So refresh your routine with this Elina Organics set, and give winter your glow…

so I’ve upped my serum game. I am currently using Nani Pua’s 1960 Ethnobotanical Face Serum. This luxury botanical oil blend is lightweight yet insanely moisturizing. It brightens and hydrates with “15 vital rare ingredients” that address a broad range of skin conditions. Ethnobotany is the study of a region’s plants and their practical uses through the traditional knowledge of local culture and people. Head to their website to review each ingredient used and why they chose it. So get with Nani Pua and don’t let winter take the glow out of your skin.

in my skincare. This past month I have been using and loving Raw Beauty Co’s skincare line. The line is designed to give you smoother, younger looking skin without the use of harsh chemicals. They use the “world’s most exotic ingredients, organic tropical botanicals, herbal infusions, and essential vitamins & minerals.” My favorites in the line are the BalancedBeauty Serum and Brightener as well as the Beautiana Daily Cleanser & Remover. The serum is a Vitamin C base that exfoliates and brightens. It is enriched with Niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and plant and fruit extracts. Skin is left balanced, hydrated, and protected. I use the Beautiana cleanser day and night. It is very gentle yet removes dirt and makeup. It’s enhanced with conditioning properties to soothe and tighten skin. I recommend checking out the whole line. Natural skincare has come a long way.
