I was surprised by how much I liked PÜR Beauty’s Cloud Cream Gel-to-Water Hydrating Essence Moisturizer. I have tried many “gel to water” moisturizers and I haven’t noticed anything special about them. This is the first one that one that truly gave me an amazing experience. It’s lightweight, absorbs fast, and hydrates as promised. It worked fabulous under my makeup and sunscreen. I will continue to use this year round. I believe all skin types, sexes, and ages will benefit. The Gel to Water solution is extra great for oily skin since it leaves no residue. I would use sunscreen with this product since it has encapsulated retinol. I am a fan of the simple packaging. This line is clean beauty without the annoyingness that sometimes comes with clean brands.
I love Iero’s Moonkissed Radiant Skin Restorative Serum-Oil. I have more oils in my beauty cabinet than I know what to do with. The fact that this one stands out to me means a lot. This oil is very thin and quick to absorb. It is one of the most fragrant products I have ever used. It smells like a blend of flowers and herbs. The product itself is gorgeous and will add to your skincare shelf. The beautiful blue color stands out, and there’s bits of purple flowers floating it. This serum/oil can be used in many ways. It’s a serum, it’s strong enough to be a moisturizer, and it’s a great oil topper. I find myself using it most as a last step in my night routine, following my serum and moisturizer.
I know why Decorte is Japan’s best kept Secret. Their products are terrific. I am in love with their Liposome Advanced Repair Cream. As a Beauty Editor I am constantly trying different night creams that all claim to be the best there is. It is unusual for one to stand out to me as being really different. This product stood out! I think it’s Japan’s La Mer. The texture is creamy yet cloud like. It is heavily hydrating yet not greasy. There is a slight moisture left to the surface so I would not wear during the day, especially if you wear makeup. This cream is designed to be the last step in your beauty routine. I occasionally added a few drops of Oil over it to indulge, however completely unnecessary. You awake to soft, happy skin
with MD Pens’s Radiant Retinol 1% Balancing Complex. My skin took to it easily. I noticed an increased softness in my skin after one use. I applied it after cleansing and using MD Pen’s serum. It is thick enough to use as a night cream, but not heavy or greasy. It did not feel like it would be all rubbed off on my pillow. It was mostly absorbed and left a nice moisture barrier on my skin. This cream is not just a retinol but a great night cream that has antioxidants, niacinamide, probiotics, and prebiotics. I often use retinol, so I had no issues using this nightly for a week straight. Those with sensitive skin will want to go slowly and space out use.
Body moisturizer is so last year. That’s why I’ve been using B. Fresh’s line of body serums. These are perfect for the summer because they are lightweight and sink into your skin fast. I live in Miami so I’ll definitely be using them year round. The range covers the needs of hydration, exfoliation, brightening, and firming. The line is clean and cruelty free. I love how soft my skin feels with this product. No grease, just smooth skin.
Cosmedix’s BrillianCy Vitamin C Brightening Face Oil is a great find. The directions advise you to use it as you would a serum or moisturizer, ie. put on dry skin after cleansing. I use this as I use all my oils, as a last step for major hydration and to lock in my serum and moisturizer. I do this only at night. It is designed to be used both day and night, but I think it is too heavy for day time. It smells great. A little goes a long way, you do not need a full dropper’s worth. I used the excess on my hands before bed and could feel the added smoothness in the morning. I have combination skin. I think this is best for combination or dry skin. So get your vitamin C, in an oil, how brilliant of you…
I’m rolling into this month with a bunch of new finds. First is the Honey Banana sheet mask from TWOTSP. This Korean sheet mask uses Manuka Honey and Bananas to reduce bacterial growth and fight signs of aging. It hydrates, brightens, and balances.
At night I’m caring for my under eye skin with Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix. It reduces the look of fine lines and leaves skin firmer and more nourished. I love that it’s lightweight yet effective.
I’m caring for my hair with Loreal’s new Everpure Sulfate Free Glossing pH balanced Shampoo and Conditioner. It leaves hair silky and shiny. The line is anti fade and UV filters to be gentle on color treated hair.
I love going over my dry hair with a few drops of Typology’s Repairing Hair Oil with Acai 5% + Hibiscus. It is a lightweight dry oil that controls and softens hair. This is the finishing touch your hair needs.
On to the body, I love Soap and Glory’s Magnificoco Drop In The Lotion Body Lotion. I love the smell and it absorbs quickly.
Lastly I’m using Sally Hansen’s Insta Dri X Peeps Collection in White. It dries so fast and only needs one coat.
Stay tuned for what I get into this April…
