A STRONG FOUNDATION….

This Summer I tried out a lot of foundations. I am going to tell you about my top 3. They vary in price from low to medium to high. You can not go wrong with any of these. I will start with the one I seem to use the most. It is Maybelline’s Super Stay Up to 30HR Wear Lumi-Matte Longwear Foundation. It’s just $16 and performs like a luxury product. It somehow manages to be matte and glowy at the same time. It lasts all day and night. It feels comfortable and hardly there on the skin.

My next recommendation is basically like the above just higher end. It does that matte yet luminous look and hides the look of any pores. It is the LAWLESS Forget The Filler Skin-Plumping Line-Smoothing Foundation. It is weightless while being full coverage, and packed with good for your skin ingredients.

Lastly is Gucci’s 24 Hour Full Coverage Luminous Matte Finish Foundation. It has a velvet like finish and just feels like luxury. It is luminous, matte, full coverage and advertised as waterproof. It’s everything you want a foundation to be.

GET IN THE HAUS…

Haus Labs By Lady Gaga. There’s a ton I like from this line. Currently my favorite is their Tricone Skin Tech Hydrating + De Puffing Concealer with Fermented Arnica. This concealer is lightweight while giving full coverage. It feels hydrating and is easy to blend.  The ingredients are designed to help with under eye dark circles as well as blemishes. I found it doesn’t crease as much as my previous favorite concealer. If it’s good enough for Gaga, it’s good enough for me….

I have a new favorite foundation and it’s expensive. Tom Ford’s Traceless Soft Matte Foundation is lux! It is medium to full coverage and feels like nothing on the skin. It has a matte finish with light diffusing microspheres to blur any imperfections. The foundation is infused with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C, E, and Caffeine to plump and care for your skin. It lasts all night and will work in humid environments. If you want to spend the money this is it!

Rolling into 2021…

with some new faves. Lets start with skincare. I’m loving Algenist Skincare’s AA Barrier Serum. This antioxidant rich serum is designed to defent the skin barrier against pollutants and environmental aggressors. It uses Alguronic Acid, Niacinamide, Phloretin, and Ergothioneine. It improves skins appearance and uneveness. I love the texture of it. It feels luxurious and absorbs well.

My new makeup finds start with a cult favorite foundation. I now understand why Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Foundation is so popular. This 24 hour wear, full coverage, Matte foundation really delivers. It leaves skin looking fresh and flawless yet somehow remains lightweight on the skin. It is heat resistant, and waterproof. There are over 55 shades to choose from.

Taking things to the ever important brows. For the last few years I’ve stuck with NYX’s micro brow pencil. I think it’s better than its expensive competitors. I’m now following it with their Control Freak Eyebrow Gel. It is a clear gel that tames brows and gives a fuller effect. It’s not sticky and stays comfortable all day. So play with some new finds for 2021, I won’t tell last year’s products you’re cheating 😉

I’M A LIGHTWEIGHT…

and so is my foundation. I am using Loreal Paris’s Infallible 24 Hour Fresh Wear Lightweight Foundation. Gone are the days of spending big bucks to get a foundation that looks and feels luxurious. Drug store brands have stepped up in a major way. This one lasts with a Matte finish all day and night. It is breathable, waterproof, transfer resistant, and has spf protection. The coverage says medium to full. I find it so be a healthy looking full coverage. It has oil absorbers to resist sweat and water. It comes in 30 shades, so go get your Infallible coverage, and let it last all night….

and now I have it with Giorgio Armani Beauty’s Power Fabric foundation. This foundation gives full coverage, matte, lightweight,  longwear, and spf. It is a best seller, and I can see why. It uses a concentration of oils that have no greasy effects. Powerful pigments allow full coverage and a velvet matte finish. It comes in 31 shades designed to not crackle or dull. So get it all with Armani, and then ask for more…
