PEELease me….

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked Cosmedix PHA Hydration Peel. It is designed to exfoliate skin, while brightening your complexion. I noticed upon application a slight tingling sensation. Not like a burn at all, more like a lovely cooling “it’s working” feeling. It comes off easily with water. My pores looked tighter and my complexion looked even. It seemed to have lifted some deep in the skin issues to the surface (in a good way). The next morning I noticed soft skin, and a continued even complexion. Though it is said to be gentle enough for all skin types I recommend not following it with any strong skincare. Stick to hydrators and oils verse retinols and acids. It says to use at night so it likely makes your skin more sensitive to the sun.

THERE’S NO JUNE GLOOM….

in this month’s skincare and makeup finds. This month I’ve switched things up with some fabulous finds. I have been using Ren’s Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic. It has a delicious cucumber smell. It uses Lactic Acid and Salicin(BHA) to exfoliate, brighten, tighten and hydrate. It’s gentle enough to use every day.

In the morning I follow that with Lancome’s amazing Renergie HCF Triple Serum. It’s and anti aging serum with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C, Niacinamide, and Ferulic Acid. This serum feels luxurious. It’s designed to improve volume loss, reduce wrinkles, and brighten dark spots. It has a unique triple chamber packaging to combine ingredients in the perfect balance.

My makeup find is Kosas’s Air Brow lifting treatment gel. I use this in the daytime for a natural yet enhanced look. It adds volume with a soft flexible hold. Kosas is a clean beauty brand, and this gel is boosted with hair care actives to help brows grow and thicken. It has biodegradable plant based microfibers for fullness and volume. Panthenol Provitamin B5, Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1, Trehalose, and Hyaluronic Acid for Brow health. It’s the perfect not too dry not too wet brow product.

OOH BABY I LIKE IT RAW….

in my skincare. This past month I have been using and loving Raw Beauty Co’s skincare line. The line is designed to give you smoother, younger looking skin without the use of harsh chemicals. They use the “world’s most exotic ingredients, organic tropical botanicals, herbal infusions, and essential vitamins & minerals.” My favorites in the line are the BalancedBeauty Serum and Brightener as well as the Beautiana Daily Cleanser & Remover. The serum is a Vitamin C base that exfoliates and brightens. It is enriched with Niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and plant and fruit extracts. Skin is left balanced, hydrated, and protected. I use the Beautiana cleanser day and night. It is very gentle yet removes dirt and makeup. It’s enhanced with conditioning properties to soothe and tighten skin. I recommend checking out the whole line. Natural skincare has come a long way.

CARING WITH CUCUMBER….

I’m caring for my skin this spring with 2 cucumber products I can’t get enough of from Azaki Organics. Azaki is a small batch, clean, skincare company with “results driven products”. I use the Cucumber + Niacinamide Toner to calm and soothe skin after cleansing. It helps to prevent environmental damage, and acne. The Niacinaminde helps to minimize the appearance of pores, fine lines, and uneven tone. Twice a week I use the Cucumber + AHA Jelly Mask. This mask cools and hydrates to revive tired skin. It is designed to exfoliate and soften. It helps to stimulate collagen production as well. soft lips are easy to attain with Tree Hut’s Sugarlips Sweet Mint Lip Scrub. I’m very picky about lip scrubs. I find they often don’t have the right percentage of scrubber vs oil. This one- is one of the best I have ever tried. It quickly exfoliates your lips while softening and hydrating skin. It uses Indian Peppermint Oil which has a natural plumping effect. As well as Shea Butter and Jojoba Seed Oil to hydrate, condition and protect. So get with Tree Hut and put that mouth to good use….;)

about Buzios? Buzios skincare is a Brazilian line that is all about the glow. They believe in a 2 step skincare ritual for plumped dewy akin. Step 1 is a cleansing, detoxifying, exfoliating cream. Step 2 is a hydrating, moisturizing all over serum.  I have been using their cleanser, Bare Skin. For me I like it as my first step in my double cleanse routine. Therefore I use it a bit differently than directed. It has natural retinol, antioxidants, and 5 amazonian super foods in it. I love how it removes dirt and makeup while leaving my skin enriched. You can remove it with a cotton pad or damp microfiber towel. So get that Brazilian beauty glow, and go bare….

It’s small batch when it comes to Lone Star Botanicals. They ethically source the best herbs and spices from Organic farms all over the world. I have gotten into using their face scrubs and face masks this winter, and had great results. The Refresh Hydrating Green Tea Face Scrub exfoliates, hydrates, and brightens your skin. Soothe Moisturizing Shea Butter Pumice face Scrub moisturizes and smooths skin. I rarely like scrubs, because I find them to be too harsh. These allowed for a gentle, yet effective cleaning. I like all their Masks, though the Renew Rejuvenating Herbal Clay Mask was my favorite. It gave me a brighter, more awake looking complexion. So try out Lone Star botanicals, and get big results with just a little….
