There are many different types depending on your personal skincare needs like dry skin, oily skin, sensitive skin etc. It comes with a spatula to scoop the product out of the tub. Massage it on your face and the balm turns to an oil. Add water to emulsify the oil and rinse. Easy Peasy Clean!
LIP-LOVING SCRUBSTICK FROM FENTY IS MY FAVORITE LIP EXFOLIATOR OUT THERE. I LOVE THAT IT COMES IN A STICK INSTEAD OF A TUB. IT ALLOWS YOU TO APPLY GOOD PRESSURE WHILE PUTTING IT ON. IT USES APRICOt SEEDS TO GENTLY EXFOLIATE. LIPS ARE LEFT SOFT AND KISSABLE.
another day another amazing drug store Mascara find. I’ve recently gotten into Maybelline’s The Falsies Lash Lift Washable Mascara. This gives major lift, separation, and definition. It does not transfer and lasts all night. I find this to be as wonderful as high end brands. Speaking of high end- I found a perfect winter lip for me. In the winter I like to go with more than my usual gloss.
I am using YSL’s Loveshine Balm in Pink Sunrise. This gives a small amount of color with a wonderful feeling of hydration. It has a beautiful satin finish. Lastly, I was devastated when my beloved
Tom Ford Traceless Foundation was discontinued. They’ve come out with an almost as good new product called Architecture Soft Matte Blurring Foundation. It’s light weight, medium coverage, and long wearing.
Here’s what I’m into this fall. First I have a favorite new mascara. It is Smashbox’s SUPER FAN LASH LENGTHENING MASCARA. For “modern fanned out volume”. This mascara lengthens, separates, curls, and adds major volume. It is the only mascara that does not transfer on me. I am obsessed!!!!
One of my favorite brands of 2024 is DRMTLGY. I am using their Universal Tinted Moisturizer SPF 46. This lightweight moisturizer protects from sun damage while giving you a filtered look. It works well under makeup.
I have been trying out many eye creams and found I really like It Cosmetics’s CONFIDENCE IN AN EYE CREAM ANTI-AGING PEPTIDE EYE CREAM. It feels hydrating and protective.
For makeup I have found that Morphe’s Micro Brow Dual-Ended Pencil & Spoolie. This is easy to use, blends easily, and stays all day.
Last but not least is Elf’s Camo CC Cream. This is full coverage. It stays in place all day, and stays matte. It has SPF 30 protection. I can’t wait to try their other foundations now.
Olaplex’s No 10 Bond Shaper Curl Defining Gel. I have wavy hair and I have not seen many products designed to accentuate my waves without leaving them crunchy. I am happy to say Olaplex’s Bond Shaper did just that. Olaplex is the OG when it comes to hair bonds. They have taken that science and created a gel that defines all types of curls and waves. It is lightweight and easy to use. I found it made my hair dry faster than usual as well. My waves were amplified and controlled with next to no frizz. I think this product is great for men and women with all types of hair that has a bit of curl.
SkinFix’s barrier+ Strengthening and Moisturizing Triple Lipid-Peptide Refillable Cream with B-L3 is one of the better barrier creams I have tried. It somehow is thick and thin at the same time. Meaning it feels heavily moisturizing while also not feeling goopy and clogging. I layer it over essence and retinol serum. I think it would work lovely as your only nighttime step as well. I love the airless pump. It distributes the perfect amount and leaves no mess. I think this product would be great for all skin types and both men and women. My skin felt hydrated in the morning. I noticed no fragrance. I love that it is refillable. You can care for the planet while caring for your skin.
with Hempz. I have long been a fan of Hempz products so I was excited to get my hands on their Beauty Actives Citrus Blossom Herbal Body Serum with Vitamin C. I love the idea of body serums. Why not take care of all your skin as well as you do your face. I have been using vitamin C on my face for over fifteen years and I love that it is now easy to use on my body. This serum instantly absorbs into skin. I love the smell. It is strong upon application but dissipates pretty quick. I like to layer it under my moisturizer for the ultimate body care. It is great for to layer under sunscreen as well.
this August. I found some new products that I am really enjoying. The first is DRMTLGY’s Luminous Eye Corrector with SPF 41. This may be my favorite find of the year. It is a color corrector with SPF. It works so well you may not need concealer with it. The good news is it lays beautifully under makeup. It is packed with good for you ingredients. I like to apply it with my finger.
Next I’ve gotten into Lancome’s LIP IDÔLE SQUALANE BUTTERGLOW HYDRATING LIP BALM in keep it Glowy. This is a barely there, lip enhancing product. I like to use it for a no makeup look. It feels hydrating and soft.
Lastly I am using Neutregena’s Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Pro+ .5% Power Serum. This serum absorbs super fast and is extremely lightweight. It fights wrinkles and dark spots. I layer a heavier moisturizer on top.

with Dolce Glow’s Lusso Self-Tanning Mousse. I self tan once a week. I have tried them all and I know the good from the bad. I am excited to say that this Mousse is my new favorite. The main reason is it got me darker than any other self tanner I have used. It went on quick and easy and dried very fast. There is zero smell. It did not get on my clothes or sheets. I also love their tanning Mitt. It is the perfect texture to easily spread this product evenly and everywhere. I have olive skin and dark hair and eyes. I am not sure if this would be good for someone with very fair skin. It might be too dark or towards the orange side for them. I think this is great for both men and women.
products for my eyes. That’s why I’m using The Body Firm line -Crepe Erase Lift & Smooth Eyelid Treatment . I have sensitive eyes and have had zero reaction to the product. The rollerball applicator is soothing to use. It gives a cooling feel to the eye area which is always welcome. The serum itself is lightweight and not greasy. You can layer the product with other eye creams if you choose, though I don’t find it necessary. The dry down time is fast so it is not an issue under makeup. I see this becoming part of my everyday routine. I think it’s a great idea to tend to the eyelid as well as the under-eye area.
